The Review of Commercial Plans is Going Paperless

Starting Tuesday, October 1, 2019, the review of new commercial projects will transition to 100 percent electronic plan submittals. This includes deferred submittals and revisions. Reference drawings should be scanned and submitted along with the revision. One-Stop projects will remain paper-based.

After Oct. 1, existing, phased projects may continue to be submitted on paper until all remaining phases have been submitted and approved, such as:

  • Site work, foundation, concrete superstructure with core shell and build-outs to follow
  • Site work and garage - new apartments where some phases have been submitted

Going digital means no longer having to drive to downtown and wait in long lines for permits or plan review. The electronic process will allow you to submit plans anytime, anywhere, including nights and weekends.
