The Houston Fire Marshal Office has two teams located at the Houston Permitting Center:
- Hazmat and high-piled storage
- Fire alarm and sprinkler systems
These teams are incorporated into the plan review process with Building Code Enforcement. The Fire Marshal Office also conducts inspections of facilities.
